Kristoffer Töyrä is a young, exceptionally talented bass-baritone from Tornedalen, educated at Folkhögskolan in Framnäs and at the Academy of Music in Piteå. His fantastic voice and natural technique has given him roles such as Colline in La Boheme, Starres in Värden på Barnehög and Wilhelm in Hoffmann's Adventure etc. at the Gothenburg Opera. In summer 2024 he sang Wotan in Das Rheingold with Bergen Opera Summer Academy.Kristoffer appeared as Sir Reginald in the newly written opera Herr Arnes Penningar at Folkoperan in the fall of 2024. In 2025 he appeared as Bonzo in Madama Butterfly at Gothenburg Opera and as Seneca in L'incoronazione di Poppea in Vattnäs Concert Barn. Season 2025-26 includes Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte, Colline in La Boheme at Gothenburg Opera.
He often sings oratorios, such as bass soloist in Handel's Messiah and in Bach's oratorios, anong other churches in Gothenburg Cathedral. In the summer of 2023, he made an acclaimed performance in the Chamber Music Festival in Vattnäs Konsertlada with Schubert's Winterreise and Swedish lieder by Ture Rangström.
