CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVALS have been frequent and an important part of Synne’s early years as a professional opera singer. Among these are Dala-Floda Operafest, Roslagen’s Summer Opera (Österbybruk), Kokkola Opera Festival , Vattnäs Chamber Music Festival and Oslo Opera Festival. Stages like Stockholm Concert House, Musikaliska Kvarteret, Confidencen Ulriksdal Castle Theatre, the Eric Ericsson Concert Hall, Gripsholm Castle, Gripsnäs Castle, Oslo Cathedral and Gamle Logen are some of the stages on which she has performed.
AS A CONCERT AND ORATORIO SINGER, Synne has a repertoire of a large span. Norwegian song cycles such as The Mountain Maiden (Haugtussa), Peer Gynt and the Vinje-songs by Edvard Grieg are close to her heart, and so is cycles like Vier letzte Lieder by Richard Strauss, which Synne performed for the first time in Vattnäs Chamber Music Festival 2024. Synne also frequents as a soloist in sacral music, where Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem is one of her favourite pieces to perform. Other soprano solos from sacral pieces on her repertoire are among others God in Disguise by Lars-Erik Larsson, Mozart’s Requiem and Die Schöpfung by Haydn.
SYNNE’S VOCAL TEACHERS and mentors are Royal Court Singers Lena Nordin and Karl-Magnus Fredriksson. Over the years, she has been fortunate to be instructed by many skilled artists such as Asmik Grigorian, Richard Hetherington, Bo Skovhus, Jarosław Kaliski, Barbara Bonney, Yngve Søberg, Barbro Marklund, Ulrika Tenstam, Randi Stene and Susanna Eken.
